The majestic power of the sea has been a constant source of inspiration for much of my textile work in 2024. Serving as a life source, supporting diverse ecosystems and human existence, yet also an environment which is incredibly vulnerable. I am moved by this duality—the sea’s strength and fragility, angered by our apparent lack of care and understanding of it. My work seeks to reflect this complex relationship; through the incorporation of found materials, transforming detritus into pieces of unexpected beauty, such as sea glass and discarded fishing lines, bringing joy and hope, but also encouraging questions through the work. All of the work at the top of this page has been sold, there are a few pieces still available in the collection.
